How ICCO Cooperation saves 40 percent on Microsoft software

Sign a Microsoft software contract

“The Microsoft license specialist from Q-Advise got stuck into the subject matter and dared to deviate from the beaten track. As a result, he came up with a solution that ultimately saved us a huge amount of money on our software,” says Remmert van Eijle , ICT manager at ICCO . Q-Advise specializes in guidance in the field of IT Asset Management for the private and public sectors. Q-Advise thinks and operates completely independently of the vendor. They guided the purchasing process and negotiations of software on behalf of ICCO Cooperation. ICCO fights poverty in the Third World.

License Management

Van Eijle called upon Q-Advise when ICCO wanted to recalibrate its license position and had to conclude a new Microsoft contract. “I contacted him and had our license position reviewed. What stood out during the conversations was the genuine interest in our company, in the way we have always done our license management in the past and what our wishes and needs were. Not only to remain compliant, but also with a view to the future,” says Van Eijle.

‘Complete care’

“We always strive to completely unburden companies and get the most out of it for customers”, “That is why we do not simply accept the pre-chewed contracts from Microsoft. For this project we also worked out-of-the-box. Logically, this did not lead to a standard solution that Microsoft came up with, but to a solution with which ICCO was ultimately able to save a huge amount of money when purchasing the Microsoft software.”

‘Much more affordable’

The custom contract that was very unorthodox, but helped ICCO enormously, says Van Eijle. “Q-Advise explored the edges of all the possibilities that were available, which allowed us to conclude a contract that was much more advantageous”

Big discount

Ultimately, ICCO purchased software licenses at a significant discount. “It saved us over 40 percent on our software,” Van Eijle recalls. He laughs and concludes: “When the contract was signed, Microsoft called to say that we shouldn’t advertise the deal we had made. That’s enough.”
